agreement 1
Be impeccable with your word.
Speak with integrity. Say only what you mean.
Avoid using the word to speak against yourself or to gossip about others.
Use the power of your word in the direction of truth and love.
agreement 2
Don’t take anything personally.
Nothing others do is because of you.
What others say and do is a projection of their own reality, their own dream.
When you are immune to the opinions and actions of others, you won’t be the victim of needless suffering.
agreement 3
Don’t make assumptions.
Find the courage to ask questions and to express what you really want.
Communicate with others as clearly as you can to avoid misunderstandings, sadness and drama.
With just this one agreement, you can completely transform your life.
agreement 4
Always do your best.
Your best is going to change from moment to moment; it will be different when you are healthy as opposed to sick.
Under any circumstance, simply do your best, and you will avoid self-judgment, self-abuse and regret.

The Law of Change
The Law of Change is one of the greatest of all sources of education! Understand this truth and you will no longer oppose the changes which give you a wider scope of understanding of yourself and of the world at large. And you will no longer resist nature's breaking up of some of the habits you have formed
which have not brought you peace of mind or material riches.
The traits the Creator most emphatically frowns upon in human beings are complacency, self-satisfaction, procrastination, fear and self-imposed limitations, all of which carry heavy penalties which are exacted from those who indulge such traits.
Through the Law of Change, man is forced to keep on growing. Whenever a nation, a business institution, or an individual, ceases to change and settles into a rut of routine habits, some mysterious power enters and smashes the setup, breaks up the old habits, lays the foundation for new and better habits.
In everything and everyone the law of growth is through eternal change!
Nature leads man through change after change by peaceful means as long as man cooperates, but she resorts to revolutionary methods if man rebels and neglects or refuses to conform to the Law of Change.
The revolutionary method may consist in the death of a loved one or a severe illness; it may bring a failure in business, or the loss of a job, which forces the individual to change his occupation and seek employment in an entirely new field, where he will find greater opportunities which he would never have known if his old habits had not been broken up. Nature enforces the law of fixation of habits in every living thing lower than man, and just as definitely enforces the Law of Change in the habits of man. Nature thus provides the only means by which man may grow and evolve in accordance with his fixed position in the overall plan of the universe.
Nature knows what she is about when adversity, physical pain, sorrow, distress, failure and temporary defeat overtake one. Remember this and profit by it the next time you meet with adversity. And instead of crying out in rebellion, or shivering with fear, hold your head high and look in all directions for that seed of an equivalent benefit which is carried in every circumstance of adversity.
I am never frightened by revolutionary changes in my life, whether they are voluntary, or forced upon me by circumstances of an unpleasant nature over which I have no control, for I do at least have control over my reaction to these circumstances. And I exercise this privilege, not by complaining, but by searching for that seed of an equivalent benefit which each experience carries with it.

Excited Emotion
"When you understand that you control the events of your personal experience by the power of your thought, then your focused attention to that which you want will always bring forth excited emotion -- and the excited emotion is the indicator that your creation is being propelled forward."

The Right to be Rich
Whatever may be said in praise of poverty, the fact remains that it is not possible to live a really complete or successful life unless one is rich.
No man can rise to his greatest possible height in talent or sound development unless he has plenty of money; for to unfold the soul and to develop talent he must have many things to use, and he cannot have these things unless he has money to buy them with.
Man develops in mind, soul, and body by making use of things, and society is so organized that man must have money in order to become the possessor of things; therefore, the basis of all advancement for man must be the science of getting rich.
The object of all life is development; and everything that lives has an inalienable right to all the development it is capable of attaining.
Man's right to life means his right to have the free and unrestricted use of all the things which may be necessary to his fullest mental, spiritual, and physical enfoldment; or, in other words, his right to be rich.
The purpose of Nature is the advancement and unfoldment of life; and every man should have all that can contribute to the power, elegance, beauty, and richness of life; to be content with less is sinful.
The man who owns all he wants for the living of all the life he is capable of living is rich; and no man who has not plenty of money can have all he wants. Life has advanced so far, and become so complex, that even the most ordinary man or woman requires a great amount of wealth in order to live in a manner that even approaches completeness. Every person naturally wants to become all that he is capable of becoming; this desire to realize innate possibilities is inherent in human nature; we cannot help wanting to be all that we can be. Success in life is becoming what you want to be; you can become what you want to be only by making use of things, and you can have the free use of things only as you become rich enough to buy them. To understand the science of getting rich is therefore the most essential of all knowledge.
There is nothing wrong in wanting to get rich. The desire for riches is really the desire for a richer, fuller, and more abundant life; and that desire is praiseworthy. The man who does not desire to live more abundantly is abnormal, and so the man who does not desire to have money enough to buy all he wants is abnormal...

The Science of Getting Rich (...a summary)
There is a thinking stuff from which all things are made, and which, in its original state, permeates, penetrates, and fills the interspaces of the universe.
A thought in this substance produces the thing that is imagined by thought.
Man can form things in his thought, and by impressing his thought upon formless substance can cause the thing he thinks about to be created.
In order to do this, man must pass from the competitive to the creative mind; otherwise he cannot be in harmony with the Formless Intelligence, which is always creative and never competitive in spirit.
Man may come into full harmony with the Formless Substance by entertaining a lively and sincere gratitude for the blessings it bestows upon him. Gratitude unifies the mind of man with the intelligence of Substance, so that man's thoughts are received by the Formless. Man can remain upon the creative plane only by uniting himself with the Formless Intelligence through a deep and continuous feeling of gratitude.
Man must form a clear and definite mental image of the things he wishes to have, to do, or to become; and he must hold this mental image in his thoughts, while being deeply grateful to the Supreme that all his desires are granted to him. The man who wishes to get rich must spend his leisure hours in contemplating his Vision, and in earnest thanksgiving that the reality is being given to him. Too much stress cannot be laid on the importance of frequent contemplation of the mental image, coupled with unwavering faith and devout gratitude. This is the process by which the impression is given to the Formless, and the creative forces set in motion.
The creative energy works through the established channels of natural growth, and of the industrial social order. All that is included in his mental image will surely be brought to the man who follows the instructions given above, and whose faith does not waver. What he wants will come to him through the ways of established trade and commerce.
In order to receive his own when it shall come to him, man must be active; and this activity can only consist in more than filling his present place. He must keep in mind the Purpose to get rich through the realization of his mental image. And he must do, every day, all that can be done that day, taking care to do each act in a successful manner. He must give to every man a use value in excess of the cash value he receive, so that each transaction makes for more life; and he must so hold the Advancing Thought that the impression of Increase will be communicated to all with whom he comes in contact.
The men and women who practice the foregoing instructions will certainly get rich; and the riches they receive will be in exact proportion to the definiteness of their vision, the fixity of their purpose, the steadiness of their faith, and the depth of their gratitude.

Unperturbed by Testosterone
Q: The crux of your book has to do with the differences between the male and the female brain. Talk about how hormones shape the brain in the womb.
A: We know now that the female brain is the beginning of all brains, up to eight weeks. And at eight weeks, the tiny testicles of a male fetus start pumping out huge amounts of adult-level male testosterone, which marinates those brain cells. And that stimulates the growth of certain cells and circuits in the brain that have to do with sexual pursuit behavior. It also acts as a sort of weed-killer in other brain areas that haven’t all been worked out yet.
But the female brain is left to continue to progress, unperturbed by testosterone.

Everything and Everyone Around You Improves
We want to say to you that your thoughts change the behavior of everyone and everything who has anything to do with you.
For your thoughts absolutely equal your point of attraction.
And, the better you feel, the more that everything and everyone around you improves.
In the moment that you find an improved feeling, conditions and circumstances change to match your feeling.

The Clarity You Have Been Seeking
Once you understand the clarity that your emotions provide, you will never again not know what you are doing with your current thought.
You will always be aware of whether you are, in this moment, moving toward or away from your intended goal or desire. Your awareness of the way you feel will give you the clarity you have been seeking---and you will never be lost in the desert again.
Once you have the knowledge that you are moving in the direction of your desires, you may begin to relax a little bit and enjoy the fantastic journey.

Hippies Are Still Everywhere
Much due to the media, people see the hippies as a group from the 1960's that no longer exist.
This is not so.
Being a hippie is a lifestyle choice that was made before the 1960's and is still made by many today.
(Who could that be standing on the left at the top of the steps?)
According to Aron 'Pieman' Kay, who famously threw a pie in Richard Nixon's face, the hippies are still everywhere- whether it be the streets of Haight, the Rainbow gatherings, the web or just when I least expect it, I will meet an old timer on a New York City subway. Furthermore, another hippie from the 1960's added. Protests are still going on for more or less the same things. And as far as clothing, there is still the Salvation Army clothing store. About the only major changes here are satellite TV, microwaves, and the computer. Hippies are more than a part of a counterculture movement, they are a recurrent subculture. (...more)
Conceptual Pigeonholes
We are indeed on a shaman's journey, mere children struggling to become technicians of the sacred.
We are learning how to deal with the plasticity that is part and parcel of a universe in which mind and reality are a continuum, and in this journey one lesson stands out above all others. As long as the formlessness and breathtaking freedom of the beyond remain frightening to us, we will continue to dream a hologram for ourselves that is comfortably solid and well defined.
But we must always heed Bohm's warning that the conceptual pigeonholes we use to parse out the universe are of our own making. They do not exist "out there," for "out there" is only the indivisible totality. Brahman. And when we outgrow any given set of conceptual pigeonholes we must always be prepared to move on, to advance from soul-state to soul-state, as Sri Aurobindo put it, and from illumination to illumination. For our purpose appears to be as simple as it is endless.
We are, as the aborigines say, just learning how to survive in infinity.

Segment Intend It
Do more deliberate intending of what you want.
Have you ever walked through a busy shopping center, or an airport or any place where there is a crowd of people, and you're undecided where you're going?
You're just sort of waltzing through.
Do you notice how many people get in your way and how they bump into you?
You are buffeted about.
Take the same situation, but where you are moving with purpose.
Do you not notice that they get out of your way?
As you are in the flow of things, it is as if you have the whole place to yourself.
This is what Segment Intending will do for you.
If you will stop, anytime you realize you are going into a new segment
- which simply means a block of time when your intentions are different -
...if you will stop and say: "What am I wanting to feel in this segment?
What am I wanting to have? What am I wanting to do?"
It will come forth to you, very quickly, and then you will not be swept up by the influence of someone else's intentions.
If you're not deliberate, and others are, they'll overpower you every time.
It is Law. It is momentum.
This powerful Energy that comes forth from Non-physical is there for all of you.
And the way that you utilize it affects your experience.
When what you want and what you expect are all going in the same direction, you are so powerful that nobody can dissuade you. Nobody that is out of harmony.
And that is not a bad thing, for what happens is:
...you begin attracting those who are in harmony.

I'm Sorry, Please Forgive Me
So how do I get that across to people — that we are each 100% responsible for problems? If you want to solve a problem, no matter what kind of problem, work on yourself. If the problem is with another person, for example, just ask yourself, "What's going on in me that's causing this person to bug me?" People only show up in your life to bug you! If you know that, you can elevate any situation, and you can release there. It's simple: "I'm sorry for whatever's going on. Please forgive me."
Ho'oponopono is really very simple. For the ancient Hawaiians, all problems begin as thought. But having a thought is not the problem. So what's the problem? The problem is that all our thoughts are imbued with painful memories, memories of persons, places, or things.
The intellect working alone can't solve these problems, because the intellect only manages. Managing things is no way to solve problems. You want to let them go! When you do Ho'oponopono, what happens is that the Divinity takes the painful thought and neutralizes or purifies it. You don't purify the person, place, or thing. You neutralize the energy you associate with that person, place, or thing. So the first stage of Ho'oponopono is the purification of that energy.
Now something wonderful happens. Not only does that energy get neutralized; it also gets released, so there's a brand new slate. Buddhists call it the Void. The final step is that you allow the Divinity to come in and fill the void with light.
To do Ho'oponopono, you don't have to know what the problem or error is. All you have to do is notice any problem you are experiencing physically, mentally, emotionally, whatever.
Once you notice, your responsibility is to immediately begin to clean, to say, "I'm sorry. Please forgive me."

It's So Important That I Feel Good
Concentrate on how you feel, and make a decision, “Nothing is more important than that I feel good.”
“It’s so important that I feel good, that I’m going to watch specific television programs. It’s so important that I feel good, I’m going to spend more time with this good feeling friend and less time with that not so good feeling friend.
It’s so important that I feel good, I’m going to change the magazine subscriptions that I read. It’s so important that I feel good, that I’m going to ponder thoughts from my past that make me feel better and I’m not going to ponder the ones that make me feel less than good.

Drawing pictures of mountains that look like bumps,

Putting drumsticks on either side of his nose,
Snorting the best licks in town,..."

“I bargained with Life for a penny,
And Life would pay no more,
However I begged at evening
When I counted my scanty store.
For Life is a just employer,
He gives you what you ask,
But once you have set the wages,
Why, you must bear the task.
I worked for a menial’s hire,
Only to learn, dismayed,
That any wage I had asked of Life,
Life would have willingly paid.”

It's Not Over Until You Win
If you think you are beaten, you are,
If you think you dare not, you don’t.
If you like to win, but you think you can’t,
It is almost certain you won’t.
If you think you’ll lose, you’re lost,
For out in the world we find,
Success begins with a fellow’s will---
It’s all in the state of mind.
If you think you are outclassed, you are,
You’ve got to think high to rise,
You’ve got to be sure of yourself before,
You can ever win a prize.
Life’s battles don’t always go
To the stronger or faster man,
But soon or late the man who wins,
Is the man WHO THINKS HE CAN!”

The World is Awash in Money
Question: Is my scarcity caused by my feeling a resistance to receiving abundance?
Abraham: If it feels like discouragement, fear, uneasiness, frustration, if it feels like anger—that’s what it means. That scarcity feeling has all those feelings wrapped through it. They are all indicators of some resistance within you.
What those feelings are actually saying is, “Ah, as I’m feeling this thing that I’m calling scarcity, I’m a vibrational mismatch to the abundance that I want. I want abundance, but I’m not vibrating there. So as I reach for the thought that feels better, reach for the thought that feels better… so that those negative emotions subside, now I’m no longer resisting. I’m allowing. I’ve lined up the Energy within me.”
Once the manifestations start coming in response, it gets easier and easier and easier. Now it’s easier to hold yourself in that good feeling place because you have more things of an appreciative nature surrounding you. Your second million will come much faster than your first, because as you get comfortable with the feeling of the first, the second is natural. And the third and fourth.
Esther heard a very wealthy man, Ted Turner, saying,
“The world is awash in money.” And he knew it as he spoke it.
It is his experience, everywhere he turns.
He gave a billion dollars to the United Nations.
Money is flowing to him and through him, more than he could ever, in this lifetime and a hundred others, figure out what to do with on a personal basis.
“The world is awash in money!” And as Esther heard him say that, she knew he knew that. And she thought, “I know that, too. He knows it so clearly, that now I know it.” It was something about the intensity with which he spoke it, that, in that moment, Esther knew it. And then, for the next month, she must have said that to Jerry 5,000 times. “The world is awash in money.” It was a titillating thought to her, because she, like you, had seen where so many people had pinched themselves off from Well-being, that she’d come to believe that the world was not awash in money. She had come to believe that only a few had it, and they had it stashed back there somewhere where others could not get it. She thought that there was a lopsided thing…
The world is awash in money! Do you hear what that means? It is awash in money. It is flowing for everyone. It is like Niagara Falls. And most of you are showing up with your teaspoons.
Your economy has always been about, the exchange of human energy: As contrast produces a new idea within any human consciousness, the Non-physical Energy to supply it flows forth. The economy expands proportionate to the idea. There is no shortage of anything.
Those who believe there is shortage, hold themselves over in this place where they disallow the Energy from flowing to them. And so, in their resistance, they have it not. And then they say, “I am proof that there is shortage. And that man over there that is awash in money is the reason I don’t have any.” He has nothing to do with your shortage. He is evidence that there is an abundance.
